In 1915, traveler Lucy Coulter brought her daughters to San Diego where they acquired property in anticipation of the Panama-California Exposition. Among their acquisitions was 3162 Second Ave. With architectural plans designed by Carleton Winslow Sr. she contracted LA Architects Winter and Nicholas to build the home and landscape the grounds, it was completed in 1916. It became a social center of San Diego, hosting gatherings and events for the city's elite. While it has been through a few ownerships over the years, it has been expertly kept and restored to its original details. The Coulter House stands as a testament to the vision and legacy of the Coulter Family, offering guests a glimpse into the past while providing modern comfort and amenities.

SAN DIEGO

Four blocks from the house is the largest city park in the US. Built for the Panama-California in 1915, you'll see history, find museums, hiking, gardens and cultural events.

A lively and eclectic neighborhood between the airport and the Gaslamp where you can find art galleries, boutiques, delicious Italian food, extraordinary craft cocktail experiences and an infamous Saturday Farmer's Market.

At it's point stands the Cabrillo Monument, a historical lighthouse open to the public. On it's west side you'll find the extraordinary Sunset Cliffs where you can watch surfers, go for long walks or spot whales!

The San Diego Zoo is located in Balboa Park, easy access and free parking. In the Summer they have special viewings at night. The Wild Animal Park is located 30 miles north and is dedicated to conservation and animals from more arid environments.

The Jewel of San Diego. In La Jolla you'll be able to swim with nurse sharks, take surf lessons, watch the seals give birth in the cove, visit the Birch Aquarium, tour the home of Dr. Seuss himself and sign up for a round at the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course.

In June Del Mar hosts the San Diego County Fair with games, rides, concerts and unique foods. In July we begin race season, where you can see some of the best race horses in the world go up against each other while wearing your best race hats.
